New online RSVP service for weddings goes live

North Vancouver, BC, November 25, 2002 – Eply Services (www.eply.com) today announced the launch of a specialty web service designed to make life easier for anyone planning a wedding. The new service, Eplyweddings.com, allows wedding guests to RSVP, online, to a traditional wedding invitation, and gives wedding planners instant access to the information they need.

Guests still receive a traditional wedding invitation in the mail. However, "the RSVP is now web based and transforms the RSVP from a merely "Yes, we're coming" tool into a more complete picture of the entire wedding," says Jim Romanik, founder of the new service.

With the online RSVP a wedding planner can elicit responses to a number of customized questions such as: food preferences, song requests, whether or not they need help with accommodations, etc. And since the information is stored in an online password protected database, it can be accessed from anywhere, anytime, in a format that is more useful for planning.

"Eplyweddings.com preserves the sense of tradition surrounding a wedding, but also brings it into the modern age where information and time are precious commodities, and planning a wedding has become a business unto itself," explains Romanik. "Whether you are a professional wedding planner or planning your own wedding, this site will help keep costs and stress levels manageable and keep the focus where it should be: on the bride and groom and their special day."
